The 22-year-old quickly became a mainstay in the starting eleven due to his consistent performance week in week out for the Lilywhites. And it is fair to say that the ex-Udinese star played a crucial role in helping the club win the Europa League in May.

The left-back’s ability to dart up and down the field throughout the game, as well as, his ability to defend 1v1’s showcased his true potential regularly. However, the transfer rumours surrounding the Italy international has not helped the club in many ways. It was reported earlier that the Spurs No.13 was linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer. However, Spurs did not want to strengthen their rivals in any way, and decided not to consider the approach from the Cityzens. But the transfer links with City just indicate how highly Udogie is rated by those in Europe.

It was reported earlier that AC Milan are willing to test Tottenham’s patience in their efforts to sign Destiny Udogie in the summer. The Serie A giants are on the verge of losing Lucas Hernandez as the Frenchman prepares for a move to Al Hilal in the coming days. And the Italian club wants to sign Udogie as his replacement for next season and beyond.
Now, Graeme Bailey has given an update on the transfer sage involving Milan and Destiny Udogie. Speaking to TBR Football, Bailey said,
“From Udogie’s point of view, does Milan appeal to him? Quite possibly. Let’s not forget, this is a Massimiliano Allegri Milan now. It’s a different kettle of fish for Milan now that they have one of the best managers in the world, and he’s building something there.”
The journalist added,
“They’re getting towards what Milan used to be now. I think it’s an appealing option for an Italian player like Udogie. I don’t think that Udogie to Milan is completely off the radar.”
Graeme Bailey has suggested that Destiny Udogie finds a proposed move to AC Milan appealing. The journalist adds that Massimiliano Allegri is getting Milan back to its glory days again, and Udogie is keen to play under the Italian manager next season. Bailey has insisted that a potential transfer cannot be written off and there is a possibility that the 22-year-old heads for the San Siro in the coming weeks.
