Saudi giants Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing a significant offer for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, as Arsenal shift their focus to Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres in the summer transfer window.

Sesko, 22, had been one of Arsenal’s main striker targets in recent months, with the North London club weighing up a move for the Slovenian international. However, despite early interest and talks, the Gunners have now prioritised Gyökeres, with negotiations progressing with Sporting over a potential deal.

With Arsenal no longer leading the race, Sesko’s future remains uncertain, though he is still expected to leave Leipzig this summer. According toThe Sun, Al-Hilal have identified Sesko as a prime target and could step up their pursuit, particularly after being snubbed by Napoli star Victor Osimhen, who reportedly prefers a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray.

The Saudi side are said to be preparing to focus fully on Sesko after completing the signing of AC Milan full-back Theo Hernandez. Leipzig are holding firm on a minimum £77 million valuation for the young striker, whose impressive tally of over 20 goals last season has attracted attention across Europe and the Middle East.

Arsenal were previously considered front-runners, but talks with Sesko’s camp reportedly broke down over personal terms and fee structure. The Gunners have since turned their full attention to landing Gyökeres before their pre-season tour, leaving the door open for other clubs including Al-Hilal to make their move.

Whether Sesko would consider a switch to the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career remains to be seen. However, with his stock rising and more clubs expected to join the race if Arsenal complete the Gyökeres deal, the next few weeks could be decisive for the future of one of Europe’s most promising young forwards.
