Eric Collins, Allie Clifton also joining Prime Video’s NBA coverage

For years, fans have begged for the voice of the Charlotte Hornets to get a bigger platform.

Now, they’re getting their wish.

Buried beneath headlines announcing Kevin Harlan’s official arrival at Prime Video and the additions of Brent Barry and Dell Curry as analysts, Amazon announced that Eric Collins would be joining a quartet of play-by-play announcers that now includes Harlan, Ian Eagle, and Michael Grady.

He won’t be the streamer’s primary play-by-play voice, but Collins, whose calls have gone viral across NBA social platforms and Fox College Football broadcasts alike, is getting a national stage. In addition to being the TV voice of the Hornets since 2015, Collins has called MLB games for the Los Angeles Dodgers, worked with ESPN, BTN, and FOX Sports, and now lands with Amazon as the company enters its first year of its NBA rights deal.

He’ll be joined by his current Hornets TV partner, Dell Curry, who has quietly built a second act as solid as his first. Curry played 16 seasons in the league and has now spent 16 years behind the mic for Charlotte broadcasts. Now, that duo gets a shot in front of a national audience.

But as The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch reports, the plan is for Amazon’s coverage to mix and match play-by-play announcers and game analysts rather than sticking to set pairings.

And some of those pairings will include the addition of two new sideline reporters: Kristina Pink and Allie Clifton.

The latter has been hosting Lakers coverage on Spectrum SportsNet since 2018 and made history in 2024 as the first woman to serve as a color analyst on a Lakers broadcast. Her experience covers the NBA, WNBA, and MLB, and she’s also known for co-hosting the Road Trippin’ podcast alongside Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye.

“Basketball has given me so much, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Amazon Prime Video’s outstanding NBA broadcast team,” said Clifton. “I look forward to bringing the energy and excitement of the game to audiences on this new platform.”

Pink, meanwhile, joins with more than a decade of big-game experience. Since 2012, she has been a fixture on Fox’s NFL broadcasts, covering NBA, college football, and the postseason across multiple sports.

“It’s an incredible honor to be part of this new chapter between the NBA and Prime Video,” Pink said in a release. “As a reporter who has been close to the league for more than 13 years and a lifelong basketball fan, I’m excited for this historic launch. This is an opportunity to tell more stories, reach a broader audience, and share my energy for the game. Can’t wait to get started!”

Collins, Clifton and Pink will join a roster that already includes play-by-play voices like Eagle, Harlan and Grady, studio host Taylor Rooks, analysts Barry, Curry, Stan Van Gundy, Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Candace Parker.
