Leeds United need a new goalkeeper and so far, their pursuit of a new shot-stopper has not resulted in the addition of a replacement for Illan Meslier between the Elland Road sticks.
Plenty have been touted with moves to Elland Road. England internationals Aaron Ramsdale, Nick Pope, Sam Johnstone and many others have been linked with a move, but Pope is set to remain at Newcastle.
The two that seem most-likely to join Leeds currently are Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Lyon star Lucas Perri. But Lyon have won their appeal against relegation and it is likely to impact Leeds’ move.
With Milinkovic-Savic, Leeds are in talks and are aware of his £19m release clause. But the likes of Napoli and Manchester United have been touted with a move. Well, Leeds are now being linked with another.
Leeds want to sign African goalkeeper that is now a free agent
Still only 20, Mayame Sissoko made his professional debut for French third-tier side QRM. It was his only appearance and remains to be his only senior outing, but he did impress for Mali in a recent tournament.
Representing Mali’s U21 side at the Maurice Revello tournament this summer, Sissoko is now a free agent and boasts plenty of interest in his services. Africa Foot say Leeds are among the clubs looking at Sissoko.
Leeds are trailing another Red Bull club however, with newly-promoted side Paris FC leading the charge. Ligue 2 side Dunkerque, German outfit Augsburg, Portuguese side Boavista and Al-Qadsiyah are keen.

Mayame Sissoko likely to be a new signing for Leeds’ U21 side
If Leeds are to sign Sissoko, it is likely the youngster would be an addition for the U21 side. This summer, Leeds have decided to keep Rory Mahady but have waved goodbye to Harry Christy and need a keeper.
Leeds have completed deals for Louis Enohoro-Marcus and Jayden Lienou. Enohoro-Marcus was available on a free after his contract expired at Anfield while Leeds have paid Man City £500,000 to sign Lienou.
Sissoko is likely to link up with the U21 side if he does join, with a view to breaking into the senior outfit. Especially with Illan Meslier, Alex Cairns and Karl Darlow on the books, and a new signing at Leeds likely.
