Fox NFL analyst reportedly enjoying ‘summer fling’ with Sofía Vergara

Are Tom Brady and Sofía Vergara ready to start their own modern family?

It’s far too early to say. But if the tabloids are to believed — and when aren’t they? — there’s something going on between the Fox NFL analyst and sitcom star.

Look no further than the New York Post‘s Page Six, which reports that Brady and Vergara are “having ‘summer romance’ in Spain.” While the outlet emphasized that both celebrities are still single, the 7-time Super Bowl champion purportedly asked to switch seats so that he could sit next to the former Modern Family star while aboard a star-studded Ritz-Carlton superyacht, which sounds like the type of super rich people thing that you only find out about by watching Succession or listening to an episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast.

Reports Page Six:

Brady and Vergara, however, were apparently googly-eyed over each other at one of the gala dinners aboard the yacht. The two were photographed sitting next to each other, and a source familiar with the situation told us their cozy-looking seating arrangement wasn’t happenstance.

“He asked to switch seats to sit next to her at dinner,” a source told Page Six.

We’re told Brady, 47, and Vergara, who turns 53 on Thursday, continued hanging out in Ibiza after the yacht trip.

TMZ also confirmed Brady and Vergara’s newfound connection, although the outlet refers to it as a “summer fling” and not “dating” or even “romance.” According to TMZ, the 47-year-old ex-quarterback and 52-year-old actress “are both single and are definitely not a couple, but they are having fun on a trip through Europe with a bunch of other celeb travelers,” with a source calling reports of a summer romance “ridiculous.”

“It’s nothing more than a summer fling,” TMZ reports.

What’s the difference between a summer romance and a summer fling? That might be something that only the people who are able to obtain invitations to Ritz-Carlton superyachts can determine. But we’ll certainly be monitoring whether Vergara begins accompanying Brady throughout his second season as Fox’s top NFL analyst or defends him against criticism of his calls.
