Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic lifted the club’s last Premier League trophy in 2013.
Since then, Nemanja Vidic has watched his former club underperform for the past 12 years.
Ruben Amorim wants to win the Premier League at Manchester United to end the club’s terrible barren run, but for that to happen he will need the full support of those above him.
Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover, there has been non-stop change to the executive team and Ineos have also made sweeping changes to almost every department at the club.
After the sacking of Dan Ashworth, Jason Wilcox was promoted to director of football and alongside Christopher Vivell he is now responsible for taking charge of transfers.

Nemanja Vidic criticises Manchester United’s recruitment
Vidic spent eight years as a United player and having signed for just £7 million back in 2006, he is also one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s best bargain buys.
He has played along some footballing legends at Old Trafford and, since the retirement of Ferguson, he believes the club’s recruitment has been the biggest cause of underperformance.
Speaking to Gary Neville via The Overlap, Vidic said: “Ed woodward taking that position was, above his knowledge and what he is capable of doing – that is my personal opinion.

“Obviously he did fantastic in terms of marketing and bringing money into the club, but in terms of dealing with agents and players – I think that role requires someone with experience of that.
“The club didn’t help themselves by not bringing in the knowledge of ex-football players or someone who has experience talking with agents.
“Sometimes salaries or the money we have paid for players, we have been cheated.
“That’s the problem, I think recruitment is the biggest thing whatever you do in your life.
“They should be careful what kind of people they are bringing, and to be at United you have to be one of the best in the market. You have to invest in that, maybe even more than the players.”
Ineos are trying to fix Man United’s recruitment team
Last summer, Ineos impressed with their transfer business, making five major signings who all went on to have a positive impact on the squad.
This time around, Ineos have been slow in the transfer window, which has left Amorim with only Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon as new signings heading into pre-season.
Ratcliffe and CEO Omar Berrada would be the first to admit they have not got everything right since taking charge at Old Trafford, and the recruitment team is very much still a work in progress.
In fact, The Athletic report that United are still searching for a new Head of Recruitment, who would join the senior staff and report to Christopher Vivell.

The main frustration about United’s window has been the talks for Bryan Mbeumo lasting over a month, while Ineos are still yet to sell any of the five players Amorim has flagged as no longer being part of his project.
It is still very early in the summer, but there are already considerable moans and groans from the fanbase that this all feels far too familiar.
