Manchester United transfer news as Amad reacts to Sunderland's £21m signing of Ivory Coast international teammate Simon Adingra

Manchester United star Amad has sent his approval to international teammate Simon Adingra after he completed his move to Premier League newcomers Sunderland.
The 23-year-old has left Brighton & Hove Albion for the Black Cats in a move worth around £21million plus add-ons. He has become the latest new arrival at the Stadium of Light after already signing Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Enzo Le Fee and Chemsdine Talbi.
Adingra has spent the last two seasons in the Premier League after joining Brighton from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland in 2022. He spent the 2022/23 campaign in Belgium with Union Saint-Gilloise before becoming a regular at the AMEX Stadium.
On Thursday, the Ivory Coast international was unveiled as Sunderland's newest signing. Régis Le Bris' men are preparing for their return to the Premier League after securing promotion via the play-offs in May.
Amad, who spent the second half of the 2022/23 season at Sunderland, has reacted to Adingra's move up north. Sharing the announcement video on his Instagram story, he put two love-struck eyes emojis with "adindin" alongside it.
The United attacker also reacted to Sunderland's post on X, formerly Twitter, putting: "Wow," with the same emojis. Amad has often reacted to his former team's success, congratulating them on reaching the play-off final in May.
Asked about Amad in his arrival interview with the club media, Adringra said: "I know him very well in the national team. I spoke to him and he spoke very well about this club. He told me how big this club is."
This season, Amad will come up against the Black Cats for the first time since his loan spell ended. United host Sunderland at the start of October before travelling to the Stadium of Light in the final three games.
