Players have returned to West Yorkshire to begin pre season. A large number of first team stars are now having tests run at the at Carnegie School of Sport facility at Leeds Beckett University. Some names are yet to report, including Mateo Joseph, who needs clarity over his future.

Leeds United in the market for a new midfielder
The club are currently in the market for a center forward, a central midfielder and an attacking midfielder.
This week has been a mixed bag in terms of transfer targets. Leeds have had their third bid rejected for Sean Longstaff, with Newcastle United wanting a fee around £15million.
Hoffenheim have also set their asking price for Anton Stach at £17million, even though they are keen on keeping him at the club for next season.
Kalvin Phillips could be a shock option

Leeds have had a long saga with Kalvin Phillips. The England midfielder has been linked with a move back to Elland Road multiple times since he left.
Graeme Bailey has now stated that the Whites could be ‘in the mix’ for Phillips once again this summer:
“Everyone’s waiting for his injury return and when he can move. It’s going to be a very cooperative deal from City’s end. I understand Leeds are firmly in the mix. But we have to see how he comes back.
“Leeds know who he is, what he is, how he can operate, he offers a whole range of options. I believe the player would love to come back, they’re very confident he’s going to be fully fit by next month.
“He won’t be a Man City player at the end of August. They won’t pay him off so he’ll be loaned out again and I think there’s a deal there to be had, Leeds are monitoring the situation,”
Can Phillips still contribute at a Premier League level?
The midfielder did not feature for a lot of games last season, but he did show in stretches that he can still play. His metrics on the ball took a sharp decline, but he is still a decent ball winner.

If Leeds can make him guarantee his fitness, then a cut-price move for him, or even a loan could be a shrewd piece of business.
