Wolves are in talks with Brazilian giants Fluminense about a deal to sign forward Jhon Arias, according to Express and Star journalist Liam Keen.
The black and gold club have been keen to add to their squad for manager Vitor Pereira this summer after losing key players early in the window, as they look to build on a strong second half of the season in 2024/25 to avoid another relegation battle.
After losing Matheus Cunha to Manchester United in a £62.5m deal, the club are now targeting one of the stand-out stars from this summer's Club World Cup tournament to replace him.

Jhon Arias in action for Fluminense in the FIFA Club World Cup
Arias, who has been described as 'spectacular' following his recent performances in the Club World Cup, has been one of the stars of the tournament as he helped the Brazilian club to reach the semi-final, before they were eliminated by Chelsea in midweek.
Now the Colombia international has emerged as a top target for Pereira's Wolves side, and the Molineux club have already entered talks about getting a deal over the line.
It's understood, however, that Fluminense are reluctant to sell their star forward and it could take a big fee to convince them to move on. The 27-year-old is still a big target though, and Wolves are keen to find an agreement.
Wolves have already been able to add Fer Lopez to the squad from Celta Vigo in a deal worth around £20m, while Jorgen Strand-Larsen's loan move from the La Liga club has also been made permanent after a successful season in 2024/25.
The club have also lost star defender Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City this summer already and they are keen to strengthen in defence, while centre-back Nasser Djiga has joined Rangers on a season-long loan to aid his development. Spaniard Marc Pubill has emerged as a target for defence, with the club set to make a big financial offer to convince him to join.
