Petrovic Agrees to Join Cherries
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Bournemouth are “confident” of completing this signing, after they sent a bid to the Blues. The journalist understands that Chelsea will give their “final green light” on the transfer soon. Mark McAdam revealed previously that they ideally wanted a £25 million sale.

According to Romano, Petrovic has already agreed to join the Cherries. This transfer is part of a goalkeeper merry-go-round, as Alex Crook reports. Petrovic moving to the South Coast would allow Bournemouth to let Mark Travers move to Everton. Meanwhile, Sunderland missing out on the Serbian could mean that they make a move for Aaron Ramsdale or Sam Johnstone.
Bournemouth Complete Second Part of Summer Rebuild
Bournemouth’s successful squad of the 2024/25 season has been slightly torn apart, with Milos Kerkez moving to Liverpool, Dean Huijsen moving to Real Madrid, and Illia Zabarnyi potentially moving to Paris Saint-Germain. Alongside this, Kepa’s loan was not renewed.
However, the signing of Adrien Truffert has provided fans with hope after the departure of Kerkez. The second part of this mini rebuild comes with the potential signing of Petrovic, who arguably offers an upgrade on Kepa. The Spaniard was impressive at times but was slightly mistake-prone. Whilst £25 million is a hefty fee, Petrovic is highly-rated, coming off the back of an “impressive” loan at Racing Strasbourg. At 25-years-old, he is relatively young for a goalkeeper and could be their number one for many years.

With regards to the rest of the field, Antoine Semenyo has just signed a new contract, Marcos Senesi offers a replacement option to Huijsen, and Zabarnyi’s potential transfer is dragging out.
