Manchester United are reportedly willing to allow Alejandro Garnacho to train with his first-team teammates when the winger returns to Carrington this summer.
MEN Sport reported earlier this summer that Ruben Amorim informed the Argentine that he could look for a new club in the upcoming transfer window. This decision was made after Garnacho was vocal about his lack of playing time in the Europa League final.
Napoli and Chelsea have both been heavily linked with a move for Garnacho this summer but no official transfer approach has been forthcoming so far. On Monday, many of the United first-team returned to Carrington for the start of pre-season.
But a few days before their arrival, the Manchester Evening News discovered that Garnacho was one of five players who informed the club that he wished to seek a move elsewhere. As such, United decided to give the 21-year-old, and his four teammates, an extended break to help them facilitate transfers to other teams.
Their breaks are expected to end at some point in July, most likely before the pre-season tour of the United States. ESPN now reports that once Garnacho does return to Carrington, he will not be blocked from training with his teammates.
Notably, Jadon Sancho was banished from the first-team following his fallout with Erik ten Hag in 2023. However, this does not seem to be the case for Garnacho.
This report comes after Garnacho sent a cryptic message to social media on Thursday morning. Posting a picture of himself asleep on a private jet, the winger captioned the photo: "Coming."
It is unclear whether this was referencing himself arriving at a new club or that he was returning to Manchester for the start of pre-season. Either way, the saga surrounding Garnacho's future shows no signs of ending.
