Just in: Liverpool receive £45m bid for 'world-class' star, personal terms agreed

Bayern Munich have made their opening offer for Liverpool star Luis Diaz, according to Sport BILD.

The Colombia international's future has been subject to major speculation this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, with major interest from Barcelona, Saudi Arabia and the Bundesliga champions.

But it's the German side who have now made their move to convince Arne Slot to let him move on for a new challenge, with a formal bid tabled.

Offer falls way below Liverpool valuationLuis Diaz

According to a fresh report on Thursday night from Germany, Bayern Munich have made a formal bid worth €52m (£45m) to Liverpool to try and sign the 28-year-old winger.

Diaz, who has been described as 'world-class', has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Vincent Kompany's team ahead of a move this summer, with the player open to leaving Anfield after growing disillusioned with talks over a new contract

However, Liverpool have made it clear that they do not want to sell Diaz, and have previously shut down approaches from Barcelona about his availability.

But the report states that Diaz and Liverpool have a 'gentleman's agreement' that the forward will be allowed to leave if a club make an offer worth £69m, but currently they haven't had an offer anywhere near that number.

It's understood that Bayern would be willing to go as high as €60m (£52m) for the winger this summer, but Liverpool want more and it seems like a difficult deal to do as things stand. Diaz is open to the move, and according to the report it is expected to happen before the window slams shut.
