According to Fabrizio Romano, Noni Madueke will join Arsenal from Chelsea in a deal worth over £50 million plus add-ons.
The Gunners had already agreed personal terms with the England international on a five-year contract and have moved swiftly to wrap up their second deal of the summer with Chelsea, following the signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Madueke’s arrival has sparked some debate among supporters – largely due to the hefty price tag – but with Arsenal also pushing ahead on moves for Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres, it’s clear the club is executing a multi-pronged recruitment strategy.
In addition to Kepa, the Gunners have already added midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, and are believed to be in negotiations with Valencia over young defender Cristhian Mosquera.
It’s shaping up to be a busy window for Andrea Berta and his team as they look to get the squad in shape ahead of the upcoming Asia tour.
