Chelsea and Arsenal didn’t seem to be too far apart in their valuations of Noni Madueke as talks began earlier this week over a transfer, and sure enough, it sounds like we’ve already found an agreement.
As first reported by Fabrizio Romano tonight, getting the exclusive over his arch-nemesis David Ornstein, the two teams have agreed a deal “in excess of £50m with add-ons included”. So that’s not too specific and could encompass a decent range of fees around that total amount, which might determine if this is a good deal for us, or a good deal for them.
UPDATE: Ornstein has now chimed in as well, claiming that the deal, which is in its “final stages”, is “expected to be worth £52m”.
But either way, the deal now looks to be happening, which was to be expected given the way this situation had been evolving. Madueke had agreed personal terms with Arsenal a few weeks ago already.
EXCLUSIVE: Noni Madueke to Arsenal, here we go! Fee agreed in excess of £50m with add-ons included, green light from Chelsea.
Madueke already agreed five year deal at Arsenal days ago and he’s now set to complete the move.
