Speculation over Luis Diaz’s future continues to grow, with reports in Germany now even suggesting Bayern Munich has launched a bid - although Liverpool remains adamant he is not for sale.
Having been linked with a move to Barcelona last year, rumors over a potential exit for Diaz have only grown this summer, no doubt fueled by the player admitting he has been speaking to other clubs as he weighs up his options.
Barca is once again being linked with his services, while Bayern has also been touted as a possible destination. Both clubs have had approaches knocked back by Liverpool already this summer though, with the Reds insisting that Diaz is not for sale.
That hasn’t stopped the speculation in Germany though, especially with Bayern on the lookout for a new forward following Leroy Sane’s move to Galatasaray, and with Jamal Musiala facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after his horrible injury in the Club World Cup.
Despite Liverpool refusing to budge from its stance, and reports linking the Bundesliga champions with Xavi Simons, Sport Bild now claims Bayern has launched a first bid for Diaz.
It’s suggested that $61 million has been offered, which it says is “far below” the $94 million supposedly being demanded by Liverpool.

Where they get that figure from is anyone’s guess, considering the Reds have shown absolutely no appetite for selling Diaz at any point this summer, as made evident by Bayern’s initial approach being knocked back.
And no sooner has that report come out of Germany, than it has already been dismissed elsewhere. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool has refused to engage with Bayern over Diaz, and no formal bid has been received.

Despite the Reds standing firm in their stance, the club also has no plans to extend Diaz’s contract this summer, despite the Colombian suggesting he would be discussing a new deal earlier in the summer.
That will likely continue to fuel speculation this summer, with the 28-year-old having given an update on his future this week.
“We’re there, negotiating," Diaz said. "We’ll see what can be achieved, for us and for the club. We’ll try to do our best and make the best decision.
“We’re in the process of negotiations, talking with the club, with Liverpool, with everyone who’s approaching us. But I’m very calm where I am, you know, very happy. Trying to make the best decision, now."
