The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to honor the legendary Kobe Bryant at an upcoming home game.
Bryant remains a beloved figure more than five years after his tragic death in a helicopter crash. Before his death, the Los Angeles Lakers icon was a big Dodgers fan and made numerous appearances at home games, including during the 2018 World Series.
On Aug. 8, when the Dodgers host the Toronto Blue Jays, the team will give away a Kobe Bryant bobblehead doll. The figurine features Bryant in a full Lakers uniform with the No. 24 on the back, along with his Kobe 6 "Dodgers" sneakers.
Bryant is also depicted holding a bat and preparing to swing left-handed, which is something he did despite being a righthanded shooter on the basketball court.
These bobbleheads figure to be hot commodities. The enthusiasm for them online is already noticeable.

"Did people start lining up yet outside the stadium?" one person asked.
"Super dope!! Thank you @dodgers," another person added.
"I totally want one lol. Miss you Bean," a third person said.
"Should've had him in Dodger gear, considering he made several appearances at games wearing them. That said, I do appreciate the attention to detail with him batting left-handed. While he was primarily a right-handed shooter, he did bat left-handed in celebrity softball games," a fourth person chimed in.
"Giving it away on 8/24 would be perfect," a fifth person said.
This isn't the first time recently that the Dodgers have recognized Bryant since his untimely passing. Last year, the team gave away custom Bryant jerseys with his No. 8 on the front and No. 24 on the back.
They also invited his wife and daughters to the game, with Kobe's daughter Bianka throwing out the first pitch.
