In what is now the most highly anticipated Summer League game of all time, generational talent and number one overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg, will make his Mavericks debut against Bronny James and the Lakers.
The Lakers' Summer League play has already begun, but James has yet to ramp up his workload, having yet to play more than 15 minutes in any of Los Angeles's three games. He scored 10 points in 11 minutes in their second game against Miami, and the chatter of James being a part of the Lakers' regular rotation this season is starting to pick up.
Flagg has the talent to dominate on this stage and should be the best player on the floor from the jump. He was the best player in all of college basketball last season as a freshman, leading Duke in points, rebounds, and assists. There is very little doubt that Flagg's game will translate to the next level, and he has the potential to be a star from day one, but it all starts here in Las Vegas.
This is a great NBA Summer League matchup; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
