San Antonio Spurs Injury Update
Unfortunately, Dylan Harper will not make his debut tonight against the 76ers. The Spurs were hopeful he would be able to play after missing all the games in California but San Antonio has decided to push back his debut until at least Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks. Harper is dealing with what the team is describing as a minor groin injury.
San Antonio Spurs Starting Lineup
Without Harper, expect the Spurs to go with a starting five of David Jones-Garcia, Carter Bryant, Harrison Ingram, Riley Minix and Nate Mensah. That’s the starting lineup summer league head coach Mike Noyes utilized against the Lakers. Other options to start include Dexter Dennis and Jameer Nelson, Jr.
Spurs Bring Back Jordan McLaughlin
The Spurs re-signed Jordan McLaughlin to a one-year contract worth a reported $3 million. He will provide the team with depth at the point guard position. San Antonio acquired McLaughlin as part of the De’Aaron Fox trade with the Sacramento Kings. In 18 games with the Spurs, he shot 43.1% from the field, 41.3% from three-point range and 77.3% from the free throw line.
Betting Guide: Spurs vs. 76ers
The 76ers are favored by four points and the over/under is 173.5 points. Considering that Harper is sitting out tonight’s game, the smart money is on Philadelphia winning by five or more points.
