Donald Trump parlays with two NFL coaches

Donald Trump hasn’t been shy about his NFL fandom. The 47th President of the United States became the first sitting President to attend the Super Bowl to see the Philadelphia Eagles dismantle the Kansas City Chiefs last February.

Now, Trump is mingling in the NFL world again. According to the Baltimore Banner, Trump met with Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and his brother, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, in the White House on Thursday.

John previously supported the construction of Trump’s border wall.

“I’m going Trump here,” Harbaugh said in 2015. “Build the wall. If you don’t have a border, you don’t have a country. You’re not a country without a border, right?

“At the same time, you’ve got 12 [million] to 15 million hardworking people here. Give them a shot. Give them a chance to become a citizen, so they’re paying taxes. All of us know that it’s not that complicated, but this side doesn’t want to solve it. Neither does [the other] side. Neither one of them want to solve the problem. Solve the problem.”

Fans reacted to the news of the White House visit on social media.

“I just lost all respect for both of them,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“I didn’t need any more reasons to root against these guys but thanks,” someone else added.

“Welp, time to add another reason why I don’t like the Harbaugh brother,” another fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if Trump reveals what the meeting was about in the days to come.
