Transfers will no doubt still seem a long way off in the minds of those at Liverpool at the moment following Diogo Jota's tragic death last week.
With the Reds preparing for their first game of pre-season this weekend though, the first steps towards some sort of normality are being taken, and no doubt the club will still have its eyes on some transfer business as part of that.
Liverpool has of course already done plenty of big business this summer, with the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez already representing a successful window. Whether any more major signings will be in the works, only time will tell, but the Reds continue to be linked with plenty of big names.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Rodrygo (Real Madrid)
Rodrygo's future could be decided next week amid claims Real Madrid is open to letting the Brazilian leave. According to Fabrizio Romano, a meeting is due to take place next week, with the Spanish giant leaving the final decision to the player.
Saudi side Al-Nassr is said to not be an option, with Rodrygo focusing on staying in Europe. Liverpool has been linked with him previously, while Arsenal has been touted more recently, with Sacha Tavolieri suggesting the Reds could compete with the Gunners for his signature — but only if they lose Luis Diaz.

Rodrygo has supposedly made the Premier League his priority, although Tavolieri suggests a move from the Reds would hinge on Diaz's future, with Liverpool having already made it clear the Colombian is not for sale.
Liverpool.com says: There will be plenty of eyes on events in Madrid next week if that meeting is indeed going ahead. Rodrygo will have no shortage of interest in him should he leave the Bernabeu, and no doubt a move to the Premier League will be among his options.
Whether Liverpool will be in the mix remains to be seen. The Reds have shown interest previously, although having already gone big this summer, Rodrygo might prove a little too expensive.
Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt)
A Liverpool move for Hugo Ekitike hinges on his price tag and Alexander Isak's situation, according to TBR Football.
It's suggested that Ekitike's price tag could be a problem for the Reds, with Eintracht Frankfurt said to be demanding $117M. There is supposedly a belief that Frankfurt will eventually reduce that price.
Isak though is said to still be Liverpool's dream target, and should he become available, the Reds would prioritize a deal for him, and are therefore waiting to see how his situation plays out.
Liverpool.com says: Prioritizing Isak is absolutely the right call, although that does complicate things considering Liverpool could do with signing a new striker this summer. How long it waits before potentially making a move for some else will be interesting to see.
