Report – Manchester United agree £21.5million fee plus add-ons to finally secure star exit

Rashford Sancho

Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho, has been linked with a move to Juventus for quite some time and the latest reports indicate an agreement between the two clubs have been reached.

As per today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), the Red Devils have reached a basic agreement with the Old Lady over the transfer fee.

News –Report – Man Utd go all out, offer £77.5million for huge signing

The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that the two sides have agreed a deal worth £21.5million (25 million euros) plus add-ons.

It is stated that some differences need to be sorted for the completion of the transfer e.g, a full agreement over the player salary needs to be reached.

The Bianconeri are confident that the deal will be done as Sancho only wants Juve and have told the same to Manchester United on multiple occasions.

Good Riddance?

The England international proved to be a world class talent in Germany with Borussia Dortmund, however, in the Premier League, he has consistently failed.

Sancho failed under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the coach who signed him, and even flopped under Erik ten Hag.

After scoring just 12 goals in over 80 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit, he only managed to net 3 goals in 31 Premier League games for Chelsea on loan in the last campaign.

He did impress in the Conference League winning campaign and managed to directly contribute in 7 goals (including a strike in the final) in 6 starts.

The Blues had an obligation to sign him permanently but decided to pay a fine to send the player back to Manchester.

Should Amorim try him out? Perhaps not. Instead, he must continue to focus on signing PL proven players. What do you think?
