Aston Villa could still be in line to sell Jacob Ramsey this summer.
Financial issues have swirled around the Villans all summer long, with no incoming transfer business being conducted to this point.
There was hope that the sale of the women’s team by Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens could have a positive impact, but that is yet to be seen.
With that being said, a big-name sale could still be on the cards in B6, with Ramsey potentially set to face the chop before the window comes to an end.

Aston Villa to set Ramsey price tag
Several star names have already been linked with a departure from the Midlands.
Both Emi Martinez and Ollie Watkins have been subject to interest from Manchester United, with no big-money sale going through as of yet.

This could see an exit for Ramsey, move to the front of the queue, especially if Newcastle United continue to showcase an interest.
The Villa Park faithful aren’t keen on the Englishman’s departure, but former Brentford boss Martin Allen believes it could be necessary to negate financial rules.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “We’ve all seen the drastic change with Premier League clubs in terms of spending.
“These rules are continuing to kick in, and hopefully, now it will go well for Aston Villa.
“It still looks as if they’re going to have to sell Jacob Ramsey because of the fair play rules. I wouldn’t let him go for anything less than £30m.
“*He’s a good player, he’s young and has got a bright future ahead of him. He’s done well to get to this point, but there is still a lot more to come.*“

Newcastle could now step up Ramsey interest
It would certainly prove to be a bold move to let the attacking midfielder go, having not truly gotten the best out of him for many months.
After picking up an injury on international duty back in 2023, the 24-year-old has never been quite the same.

As a result, a sale could benefit all parties, and at £30m, it could be the perfect opportunity for Newcastle to step up and bring in Ramsey.
