Leeds United receive key Anton Stach update as price tag and club stance revealed

Leeds United have been informed of the fee required to sign transfer target Anton Stach from Hoffenheim. Reports claim the 26-year-old is reportedly on Leeds' shortlist, although there is expected to be 'fierce competition' for his signature this summer. Despite making a move for Sean Longstaff, the Whites remain interested in Stach and this week, they would have been made aware of Manchester United's interest.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that United 'made contact' regarding the signing of defensive midfielder. While no official bid has been submitted, Plettenberg states that a deal is 'possible'.

Following up on that, German outlet BILD - via Caught Offside - has provided further details on the figures Leeds will need to pay to get the deal over the line. It's said that despite the Whites' being 'very interested', the club are yet to launch a 'concrete offer' for the 26-year-old.

However, Hoffenheim are eager to keep hold of Stach for the 2025/26 season and they are expected to demand a minimum fee of €20million (£17m) to consider a sale.

This sends a clear message to interested clubs that they’ll need to 'dig deep into their pockets' to land the German midfielder. That said, the report also notes that Hoffenheim would be open to discussing a suitable offer, if one is put forward in the coming weeks.

So far this summer, the Whites have signed four players. Lukas Nmecha was the first addition, which was followed by Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Gabriel Gudmundsson. Stach remains under contract with Hoffenheim for another two years still.
