According to Tobi Altschäffl, the chief football reporter of SPORT BILD, Bayern Munich have submitted a bid of €52m for Liverpool FC’s Luis Diaz.
However, according to Ben Jacobs, Liverpool have not received a formal bid and are currently not engaging in discussions for the player.
Understand Liverpool have refused to engage with Bayern over Luis Diaz.
Liverpool have been unequivocal in their not-for-sale stance and rebuffed all advances to date.

Well, depending on who you believe, Liverpool may or may not have received a bid from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz.
But given that the bid is still so far off from Liverpool’s valuation of €70-80m, it probably should be ignored. It doesn’t currently feel like the Reds are going to engage unless Bayern get close to that figure, so maybe an increased bid above €60m might do it.
We’ll see what happens, but I don’t really buy Liverpool hanging on to a player they don’t want to extend, and who’s clearly starting to agitate for a move. It’ll probably depend on who they can line up behind the scenes, and if Bayern or Barcelona can come up with a bid that’ll make it worth their while to go through the hassle of replacing Diaz.
