AS Roma have made advances to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson.
On Thursday, Corriere dello Sport reported the Serie A side and the Seagulls have reached an agreement in principle for the striker’s loan transfer. They also stated he’s evaluating offers from Roma and others before making a final decision.
Friday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Brighton player ‘says yes’ to the Italian club. Atalanta have also shown interest, but he prefers Roma.
The 20-year-old is ready to join the Giallorossi, who have already agreed terms with the Premier League club. They will cover his salary of €1.8m per year.
Gazzetta state it’ll be a free loan deal and Roma are looking to find out if they can include a buying option.
Il Messaggero also reports the Republic of Ireland international ‘says yes’ to Roma, after they reached an agreement with Fabian Hürzeler’s side.
Roma’s Eldor Shomurodov is on his way to İstanbul Başakşehir and he will be replaced by the Brighton man.
Ferguson will be looking to relaunch his career at Roma, after going through a difficult period last season.
