Man Utd returned to pre-season training earlier this week with five players not required to report for duty.
Manchester United have not permitted Alejandro Garnacho to rejoin his Manchester United teammates for pre-season training, with the player still expected to leave in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine winger was one of five players granted an extended summer break by the club to facilitate a summer exit and was not required to report for pre-season training this week. United welcomed back the first group of first-team players to their training complex on Monday, before various international stars returned on Thursday morning.
A report from ESPN claimed Garnacho had been permitted to return to team training, but United sources insist this is not the case and his situation remains unchanged. United's medical and rehabilitation facilities will remain available should he wish to come in and use them, and remote support will continue as always. The preference for all parties is to secure a permanent exit this summer, with 21-year-old believed to favour a Premier League move.

Alejandro Garnacho expected to leave this summer
Manchester United still hope to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer and he could be handed an escape route thanks to Napoli. The Serie A side failed in a £60 million bid to sign him during the January transfer window but are hopeful they can sign him for a lower fee this summer.
United would obviously like to get as much money for an academy graduate who would represent pure profit from a financial perspective, though they are cautious not to price him out of a transfer when it is clear he no longer has a future at the club.
A report from the Daily Mail claims Ruben Amorim told Garnacho back in May to 'pray' he can find a new club this summer in response to the player's reaction over being benched for the Europa League final defeat by Tottenham. Speaking after the match, Garnacho said: "Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know. The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards."
If he doesn’t secure a summer exit in the coming weeks, Garnacho could report for pre-season training at Carrington when the rest of the first-team squad are away on their tour of the United Sates. Marcus Rashford has been taking part in an individual training regime at the club’s training base this week and was pictured arriving shortly after Amorim had left the complex. Garnacho would be free to do the same if he wished.
