Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has taken two teenagers of Nigerian descent to La Manga, Spain for a training camp ahead of the upcoming season, **allnigeriasoccer.com** reports.
Fullback Josh Nichols and forward Andre Harriman-Annous trained with Arsenal's first team players at the La Manga Club on Thursday in Cartagena, Spain.
The Spanish football tactician will assess the two Nigerian players before deciding on their inclusion in the Arsenal squad set to tour Asia, where the Gunners are scheduled to face AC Milan and Newcastle United at Singapore's National Stadium on July 23 and 27 respectively, before wrapping up the trip with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium.
Harriman trained several times with Arsenal first team last season but has yet to receive a call-up for an official game.
The 17-year-old, who is also eligible to represent Ghana, England and Lebanon at international level, enjoyed a breakout season, scoring on his full debuts in the UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy and U18 Premier League Cup.
In May, he earned his first two caps for the Young Lions, featuring in two friendly matches against Morocco U18s.
A right-back by trade, Josh Nichols made his senior debut in a League Cup clash against Bolton Wanderers last September and was on the bench for first team games against Preston North End, Leicester City, Liverpool and West Ham United.
Meanwhile, Ethan Nwaneri was omitted from the travelling squad, though his absence is unrelated to ongoing speculation linking him with a summer exit from the Emirates Stadium.
The attacking midfielder was on England duty last month, helping the Young Lions win the European U21 Championship.
