Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho is on the brink of exiting the club as The Red Devils continue to negotiate over his move to Juventus.

His departure’s been a long time coming, with the former England international starting his back-to-back loan spells away from Old Trafford a year and a half ago.

Firstly Sancho returned to his former side, Borussia Dortmund, for half a season following a public bust-up with then-manager Erik ten Hag.

However, on his return last summer, ten Hag had no intention of re-integrating him into the squad, so instead agreed for Chelsea to take him on a season-long loan with a £25 million obligation to buy.

Whilst United felt they’d finally offloaded their man, Chelsea opted instead to send him back to Old Trafford, paying a £5 million penalty fee.

Ultimately, Chelsea and Sancho couldn’t come to an agreement over his hefty salary demands, making the deal unfeasible.

However, that did open the door for Juventus to renew their interest in the winger, having wanted him on loan last summer as well.

This time, Juve are looking at a permanent move for the want-away star, with reports suggesting a basic agreement is in place between Juve and United.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that there have been no official offers from Juve to the Red Devils.

The Old Lady have also been working with Jadon Sancho and his camp regarding his fees, which have continued to be a barrier to the move, which may now have been overcome.

La Stampa, as reported by Sports Witness, has reported that Sancho and United are in continued talks for a severance package for leaving the club and accepting a reduction in his wages.

It’s understood that the minimum Sancho is wanting stands at £4.3 million despite his reduction in wages to move to Turin being around £2 million.

With United having received the £5 million penalty fee from Chelsea for his return, this could cover the package to the departing star, meaning that the club aren’t scrambling to find finds, whilst also freeing up much needed capacity in their budget.
