Barcelona have made Aston Villa loanee Marcus Rashford their ‘clear left-wing target’.
That’s according to Sky Sports who claim Barca are ‘prepared to go all-in’ for the Manchester United outcast having missed out on Nico Williams who opted to sign a new deal with Athletic Bilbao.
Liverpool have also knocked them back in their approach for Luis Diaz meaning the Spanish champions are now down to Rashford next on their list.
The 27-year-old has long been reported as being keen on making the move, with his career at Old Trafford having hit the buffers.
Rashford was given extra time off from pre-season training to find himself a new club but he has this week returned to Carrington where he is training away from the first team.
Villa, for whom Rashford scored four times in 17 games during last season’s loan, decided against triggering the £40million option and have themselves moved on to alternative targets.
Apart from four months last term Rashford has been at United for his entire senior career but has fallen out of favour with Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.
