Arsenal summer transfer window is gathering momentum, with the Gunners stepping up their pursuit of two major attacking targets following the confirmed £52 million signing of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.
The North London club, fresh off their agreement for Madueke who has agreed a five-year deal, are now turning their attention to Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze and Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. The combined value of both deals is expected to reach £137 million, as Arsenal look to complete an ambitious attacking overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Madueke, 23, impressed last season with 11 goals and five assists in 45 appearances for Chelsea. His pace, versatility, and direct style of play are expected to add a new dimension to Mikel Arteta’s forward line. Yet Arsenal are far from finished in the market.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have opened direct talks with Eze’s camp and are pushing to finalise a deal for the 27-year-old midfielder. Eze is believed to be open to the move and has a gentleman’s agreement with Palace that could see him leave for a fee around £60 million, below his official £68 million release clause.

Eze, who can operate both centrally and out wide, is viewed as a key piece in Arteta’s plans to increase creativity and unpredictability in the final third. Liverpool are also monitoring the England international, but Arsenal are currently leading the race.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Viktor Gyokeres remains a priority, despite recent stumbling blocks in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon. The Swedish striker, who has scored an extraordinary 97 goals in 102 games for the Portuguese club, is eager to make the switch to the Emirates and has reportedly agreed personal terms on a five-year contract. Gyokeres has even offered to waive €2 million in salary to help push the deal through.
However, Sporting remain firm on their valuation, believed to be in the region of £69 million and talks have stalled. The Mirror claimed the club has initiated a “cooling-off” period after a breakdown in negotiations, though Arsenal remain in contact and optimistic about reviving the deal.

Should the move for Gyokeres collapse, Arsenal are prepared with alternatives, including Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins. Nonetheless, the club remains focused on landing Gyokeres, whom Arteta sees as the ideal focal point to lead the line alongside Kai Havertz.

These moves follow a busy window that has already seen the arrivals of Brentford’s Christian Norgaard, Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The addition of Madueke, alongside the potential signings of Eze and Gyokeres signals Arsenal’s clear intent to strengthen their attacking core and address shortcomings that cost them in the title race last season.
While some Arsenal fans have expressed reservations about the fees involved, particularly for Madueke, the potential arrival of Eze and Gyokeres has ignited excitement. Eze’s flair and vision, paired with Gyokeres’ clinical finishing, could provide the firepower Arteta needs to finally bring the Premier League trophy back to the Emirates.
Negotiations continue behind the scenes, but one thing is clear: Arsenal are moving aggressively to assemble a squad capable of challenging on all fronts.
