Steph Curry might already be getting lured toward his post-NBA job

Steph Curry’s dad is joining Amazon Prime’s NBA coverage beginning in 2025-26, NJ Advance Media confirmed Thursday.

Dell Curry, a former first-round NBA pick who now serves as the Charlotte Hornets’ color commentator, will be part of the Amazon team for “some games,” a person with direct knowledge said.

The news was first reported by Front Office Sports, which speculated that adding Dell Curry puts the streaming service in the mix to eventually add Steph Curry in the future.

His Warriors teammate Draymond Green did some studio work with Charles Barkley and the “Inside the NBA” crew during this year’s NBA playoffs.

Kevin Harlan and Brent Barry are also joining Amazon’s NBA coverage, the person with direct knowledge told NJ Advance Media. That news was first reported by The Athletic.

Dell Curry, 61, played in the NBA from 1986-2002 and retired as Charlotte’s all-time leader in points (9,839) and 3-point field goals made (929).

Both of his sons — Steph and Seth — play in the NBA, and Steph is a four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors who is the league’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made (4,058).

Curry will join ex-TNT Sports game analyst Stan Van Gundy; play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle; NBA legends Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, and Blake Griffin; former WNBA star Candace Parker; and studio host Taylor Rooks on Amazon’s NBA team.
