Koumas, 19, spent the last campaign on loan with Stoke City and scored six goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Potters. Sheffield United have been linked with him recently, as per the Daily Mail.
In this latest update by HullLive, he is a player on the Tigers’ radar. However, if Liverpool demand a loan fee for him, Sergej Jakirovic’s side won’t be able to get him due to their transfer restriction.
Wales manager Craig Bellamy told The Guardian last year: “With Lewis, every bit I’ve seen of him, I’ve just loved. Fearless. He’s one of those players who just, every time he has it, you feel like something’s going to happen, something positive happens.
“They’re the players you would love to coach or you’d love to just go and watch. I’m sure he would have looked at Aaron (Ramsey) for a number of years as well. Now, he gets to see what elite really looks like in a character like Aaron. I’d like to believe that’s going to develop a player like Lewis quicker.”
Hull City target Lewis Koumas
Hull City need to add more firepower to their attacking department and were the lowest scorers in the league last term. HCAFC could see Koumas as someone to inject more quality into their options up top.

The Wales international, who has six caps to his name so far, started his career at Tranmere Rovers. He then switched to Liverpool as a youngster and hasn’t looked back since.
He has been a regular for the Reds at various different youth levels to date. He also played once for their first-team before his move to Stoke City and scored in an FA Cup tie against Southampton.
Will Hull City land Lewis Koumas?
Hull City’s hands are tied at the moment due to their financial issues. HCAFC are likely to miss out on their targets which isn’t ideal.

Koumas would be a good coup for the Tigers if it happened but it seems unlikely they will get him. Sheffield United are also in the frame and would be a more stable destination.
Jakirovic was appointed at the MKM Stadium to replace Ruben Selles last month. The former Rijeka and Dynamo Zagreb man left Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig to move to England. His new team have delved into the market to snap up Dillon Phillips and Semi Ajayi on free transfers.
