Arsenal attacker Leandro Trossard reaches ‘preliminary’ Fenerbahce agreement. The Belgian forward is reportedly set for a summer move as talks continue between the two clubs.
Fenerbahce are interested in Arsenal Forward Trossard
Leandro Trossard is reportedly planning to leave Arsenal. And he has agreed personal terms with Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Trossard left Brighton in 2023 to join the Gunners and He still has a year left on his deal. Although, the original plan was to extend the deal. But, little has happened in the last few months.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Noni Madueke is likely arriving at the Emirates in a £50m deal. So, Trossard could see his chances of regular football drop significantly.
Now 30, the Gunners winger may view a move to Fenerbahce. The Turkish side is now managed by Jose Mourinho. He might choose a fresh challenge, especially with the Jose’s side pushing hard for his signature.
Arsenal face losing a good attacking option
Trossard was a key for Arsenal last season. He has been involved in 20 goals throughout a total of 56 games. He has the ability to play on both the wings.
The forward is experienced and has contributed to being a key part in Mikel Arteta’s squad. He has played every single PL game last season. Trossard certainly isn’t the flashiest of wingers, but he is effective for the Gunners’ attack and provides output on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, contract talks are in hold and interest from Fenerbahce has stirred up rumours. So, that may tempt Arsenal to cash in. If this is not the case and even if Trossard is unwilling to re-sign, they could reconsider their options.
Unless a good offer lands, or Trossard feels pressured to exit, the safer option could be to retain him and try to add strength players around guys like Trossard.
