Leeds United have been smart with their recruitment this summer. When it comes to quality they have that covered, as well as spending within their means.
Club chairman Paraag Marathe promised that the team would spend ”every penny” to build a good squad, with many estimating the transfer budget to be in excess of £100million. Leeds have signed four players for just around £30million. One may think the quality of players bought for that fee is low, but its quite the contrary.

According to football journalist Barry Anderson, Scotland keeper Angus Gunn has been linked with a move to Leeds United. The former Norwich keeper is a free agent, and is attracting interest from Saudi and other English clubs.
Update on Lucas Perri and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic
The past week saw Leeds narrow down their search to two goalkeepers: Lyon’s Lucas Perri and Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. The Whites had discussions with Torino over triggering Milinkovic-Savic’s release clause, but it looks like Napoli are in the lead in that race. And since Lyon won their appeal to be reinstated in Ligue 1, a move for Perri looks very unlikely.
Serious questions over Gunn’s quality
Angus Gunn is a solid keeper, but Leeds United must keep in mind that any replacement for Meslier has to be an upgrade. There is no use in bringing a competitor on the same level as the Frenchman.

The statistics are not in the Frenchman’s favour either; last season he conceded five more goals than expected. Gunn’s save percentage also raises questions about his ability to star in the Premier League.
