TBR Football can exclusively reveal what sources are saying about Nottingham Forest’s stance on Morgan Gibbs-White and how the player’s camp feels about a move to Tottenham Hotspur actually happening.
On Thursday, Tottenham triggered Gibbs-White’s £60million release clause as they look to strengthen their ranks further.
TBR Football revealed how “frustrated” Forest were over the Gibbs-White situation, and things have now escalated further.
Forest are now considering legal action against Tottenham, and TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm what the feeling is like behind the respective scenes.

Morgan Gibbs-White’s camp don’t expect Nottingham Forest to block the player’s move to Tottenham
Bailey has confirmed that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is “furious” over how the situation has played out, and he “wants answers”.
However, the Reds appear unlikely to get Gibbs-White’s move stopped, with the player’s camp expecting that he’ll be on his way to Spurs eventually.
“Marinakis is furious, he is so angry this came out and he wants answers,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“The club have spoken to lawyers and obviously someone has broken a confidence agreement somewhere.
“However, on whether this could be enough to see the deal called off – Gibbs-White’s people certainly don’t think so.
“It is a bitter pill for Marinakis and Forest to swallow, they really didn’t want to lose Gibbs-White this summer.”

What is likely to happen now regarding Morgan Gibbs-White situation
Along with consulting their lawyers, Forest are preparing a complaint to the Premier League regarding the situation.
Forest believe Tottenham made an illegal approach to the player and never granted permission for Spurs to speak to him.
In addition, as Bailey mentioned above, the Reds feel there has been a breach in confidentiality around his release clause.
Gibbs-White’s transfer to Tottenham is expected to be delayed as a result, but whether it will be blocked entirely is a different matter.
