Arsenal's summer transfer window has frustrated fans and with 'Arteta Out' graffiti has appeared defacing the club's artwork at the Emirates Stadium.

The potential signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea has divided opinions, leading to frustration aimed at manager Mikel Arteta. The Gunners are on the hunt for a new striker and additional quality on the wings, having missed out on Nico Williams.

Madueke, who seems to have lost his place at Chelsea, is now in Arsenal's sights, with talks progressing for a deal that could see the Gunners cough up £50 million, despite negotiations with Sporting Lisbon for Viktor Gyokeres stalling over a matter of millions.

Not all supporters are impressed by Madueke's possible arrival and have questioned Arteta's ability to lead the team to success. Arteta has turned Arsenal's fortunes around in recent years, but his tenure has now stretched to five years without silverware, coupled with significant investment, has tested some fans' patience.

Dissatisfied supporters have taken to defacing club artwork with calls for Arteta's dismissal. One fan insisted: "These protests must continue. Arsenal need Arteta sack!" While another eagerly awaits change, stating: "Cannot wait till we sack Arteta."

Arteta has managed to secure the services of players like Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, but some of his signings haven't had the expected impact. Despite this, the Spaniard, who has secured three consecutive second-place finishes, still boasts the support of the majority of the fanbase.

Some fans disagreed with the notion that he should be sacked, with one supporter posting on social media: "Come on. This ain't it, man." Echoing this sentiment, another added: "Sometimes I'm ashamed to be an Arsenal fan." Some suggested that these comments were made by rival supporters.

Thousands of Arsenal fans have put their names to an online petition as they near the signing of Madueke. A fan started a '#NOTOMADUEKE' petition on change.org, which has already garnered over 4,000 signatures since its creation on Wednesday.

"We can surely do better than Madueke & [Viktor] Gyokeres show some ambition repay the fans the same way we've backed the club for the past 2 decades."

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca recently claimed that Madueke should move if he is not happy at the club. He said: "My message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go. It’s not for Noni, it’s for all the players we have."

Arsenal have so far confirmed the arrivals of Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
