Chelsea forward Noni Madueke is on the brink of a £50m move to Arsenal, becoming Mikel Arteta's fourth signing of the summer.

It is expected that England international Madueke will provide competition to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in Arsenal's wide areas.

Madueke's proposed move across London has been met with criticism by Arsenal supporters on social media.

However, a fee, which could exceed £50m with performance-related add-ons, has all but been agreed with Chelsea, while the 23-year-old is keen to make the move.

Madueke, who made the switch to Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven in 2023, would follow Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga — who also joined from Chelsea — and Christian Norgaard in moving to the Emirates this summer.

Madueke scored 11 times for Chelsea across all competitions last season and was rewarded with his first senior international appearances under England interim manager Lee Carsley and his permanent successor Thomas Tuchel.

Arsenal are still in the market for a new striker, with Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres believed to be top of the list.

Celtic have confirmed that Nicolas Kuhn has joined Italian side Como.

The 25-year-old German winger joined the Hoops from Rapid Vienna in January 2024 on a five-and-a-half-year deal for a fee reported to be around £3m.

Many media outlets are reporting the move to Italy could see the Parkhead club earn around £17m.

Last season Kuhn scored 21 goals in 51 appearances for the Hoops, helping them to the Premier Sports Cup and William Hill Premiership title.

Meanwhile, in a dramatic turn of events, Nottingham Forest are considering legal action against Tottenham over an alleged illegal approach for Morgan Gibbs-White.

The England international was set for a medical in north London on Friday after Spurs were understood to have triggered Gibbs-White's £60m release clause.

However, Forest have accused the Europa League winners of contacting Gibbs-White directly rather than making an official approach.

Forest are supposedly furious and, in response, are drawing up legal papers with a view to reporting Spurs to the Premier League.

As result, the deal appears to be on hold for now, although Forest are powerless to stop it happening if Spurs go through the proper channels.

Forest made a move themselves in the transfer market on Friday, bringing in Brazilian defender Jair Cunha.

The centre-half has signed a five-year deal, having joined from Botafogo following the Brazilian club's run to the last 16 of the Club World Cup.

The 20-year-old Brazilian defender has signed a five-year contract which keeps him at the City Ground until at least the summer of 2030.

In other transfer news, England midfielder Jordan Henderson is set to join Brentford after leaving Ajax.

The 35-year-old will return to England after agreeing an early exit from his contract with the Dutch side, which still had a year remaining.

Former Liverpool captain Henderson, understood to have agreed a two-year deal, is set to bolster the Bees midfield following the departure of captain Christian Norgaard to Arsenal.

Brentford's Cameroonian winger Bryan Mbeumo remains a target for Manchester United, who last month tabled a bid worth up to £62.5m.
