Graham Potter is yet to bring a single player to West Ham since taking over as head coach.
The Englishman took over in February but failed to truly turn the tide in his opening months in charge at the London Stadium.
As a result, fans were expectant of a transformational summer, with a number of incoming signings expected to add to the 50-year-old’s squad.
That hasn’t been the case to this point, with the latest move in the Kyle Walker-Peters transfer saga potentially representing the final straw for Potter in E20.

West Ham set to miss out on Walker-Peters signing
The Irons weren’t messing around in their end-of-season work to rid the squad of a number of first-team assets as their contracts were seen out.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
This saw the likes of Aaron Cresswell and Lukasz Fabianski depart, but they are yet to be replaced despite the new Premier League campaign being less than five weeks away.
It is fair to say that this has caused plenty of unrest and frustration among the claret and blue faithful, feelings likely to be shared by Potter.
These certainly weren’t helped when the Irons missed out on the signing of Angel Gomes to Marseille on a free transfer.
Now it appears that the Hammers have failed to land yet another out-of-contract ace, with Walker-Peters set to decide against a West Ham move.
Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu has reported (11 July) that Besiktas are very close to an agreement with the Englishman as he looks set to sign at Vodafone Park.
This just represents the latest blow in a long line of transfer failures in East London this summer, summing up everything wrong with the E20 club right now.
Potter to fume at Walker-Peters transfer failure
The Irons aren’t truly in desperate need of a full-back, but there is no doubt that the 28-year-old would represent a positive squad asset.
With the versatility to play as a full-back on either side, he could have been excellent competition for Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Wan-Bissaka next campaign.
Position Appearances Goals Assists
Right-back 179 6 14
Left-back 52 3 5
Right midfield 27 1 0
Left midfield 14 0 0
Centre-back 5 0 1
Kyle Walker-Peters career stats
The prospect of that doesn’t look possible now as the Super Lig giants have stepped in, leaving supporters with plenty of questions for David Sullivan.
This could ultimately result in Potter packing his bags in East London as the failure to back him continues in his first window in charge.
