Liverpool begin their pre-season schedule with a friendly against Championship side Preston North End on Sunday.
The Reds will travel to Deepdale to begin their preparations for the new campaign, before travelling to Asia to face AC Milan and Yokohama F. Marinos later this month.
Arne Slot guided his side to the Premier League title during his first season in charge at Anfield, and the Merseyside giants will go into the new campaign as favourites to win the title once again.
In the meantime, though, it has emerged that one of Europe’s biggest clubs are stepping up their pursuit of a Liverpool star.
According to CaughtOffside, Italian champions Napoli are preparing to launch a new offer to sign forward Darwin Nunez.
The Serie A side have already had one offer for Nunez rejected this summer, but the report claims that they remain keen on the player and are now ready to table a bid of around £47.5 million for the Uruguayan.

Nunez, 26, joined the Reds from Benfica for a fee of around £85 million back in 2022 and has since been inconsistent on Merseyside.
In total the Uruguay international has scored 40 goals and provided 26 assists in 143 games for the club across all competitions, but it appears increasingly likely that he could depart Anfield this summer.
Last term the forward scored five goals in 30 games for Slot’s side in the Premier League, helping them to win the competition for just the second time in the club’s history.
It is unclear whether or not Liverpool will accept Napoli’s latest offer for the striker, with the Reds said to be demanding a fee in the region of £55-60 million to allow the Uruguayan to leave.
At present, Nunez is contracted to the Premier League champions until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
