Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has continued to drop hints of his keenness to join Barcelona this summer.

Rashford, 27, is expected to leave United after returning from his loan spell at Aston Villa. The academy graduate is not in Ruben Amorim's plans for the 2025/26 season but a move hasn't materialised yet.

It's been heavily reported that the forward's dream move is to join Barcelona and is willing to take a pay cut to seal a move to the La Liga champions. A possibility of a transfer agreement being reached had seemed in doubt when Barca pushed for Nico Williams but the Spain international instead signed a new contract at Athletic Bilbao.

A move for Luiz Diaz has also been tipped for Barcelona but Liverpool remain adamant at keeping the Colombian. Reports this week have suggested that the Spanish giants are now ready to pursue Rashford with Hansi Flick giving the green light.

United are keen to sell Rashford rather than a loan with a £40million valuation demanded. However, it's understood that Barcelona prefer a loan deal.

After returning to Carrington to train on an individual basis this week, Rashford has sparked excitement among the Barcelona fanbase by liking Lamine Yamal's Instagram post. The Spanish sensation posted 17 images of him enjoying his summer break, writing: "enjoy what you dream of".

Rashford was one of the 1.5million+ to like the Instagram post alongside Patrick Dorgu and Ethan Wheatley. It comes after the United star outlined his desire to play alongside Yamal during an interview last month.

When asked about the prospect of playing with Yamal in an interview with Spanish influencer Javi Ruiz, Rashford said: "Yes, for sure, Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully... we'll see."

On Yamal, who has excelled over the last 12 months, Rashford added: "[It is] difficult to put into words what he is doing. He is not supposed to be doing that at 16-17 [years of age].

"We have not seen that before. It is a skill to be able to play at that age with that mentality."
