Katie Robinson Possibly on the Move

[Emma Sanders](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c78nj74v08qo) reports that Everton are close to securing a loan deal for Aston Villa winger Katie Robinson. The 21-year-old has already completed her medical, and an official announcement is expected soon. The deal is said to include an option to buy. If confirmed, Robinson would become Everton’s sixth signing of the summer, underlining the club’s ambition for a successful [2025/26 season](https://womenfootball.blog/womens-super-league-table-standings/).

Robinson joined Aston Villa in the summer of 2024 after her contract with Brighton & Hove Albion expired. During her time with the Seagulls, she made 68 appearances and scored 10 goals, including a loan spell at Charlton Athletic. Last season, she featured 16 times for Aston Villa.

Internationally, Robinson was the youngest member of England’s squad at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Aston Villa have announced the signing of goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck from FC Barcelona. The 25-year-old joined the Spanish champions in early 2024 and made two appearances. Roebuck was part of the England squad that won Women’s EURO 2022 and reached the Women’s World Cup final in 2023.

After overcoming significant challenges during her recovery from a stroke, Roebuck described her move to Barcelona as a dream come true and felt the club had shown faith in her. She now returns to the Women’s Super League, a competition she knows well after spending nine years with Manchester City.

Aston Villa have also signed defender Lynn Wilms from VfL Wolfsburg, where she spent the last four seasons and made over 100 appearances. The 24-year-old Dutch international has earned over 50 caps and is currently representing the Netherlands at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
