Manchester United have announced updated squad numbers for talented striker Chido Obi and centre-back Tyler Fredricson.
Obi will now wear the no.32 jersey after previously donning no.56.
The shirt was last worn by fellow academy graduate Sam Johnstone. It was also donned by retired striker Carlos Tevez during his stay at Old Trafford.
Fredricson is moving from no.55 to no.33, which was lastly worn by left-back Brandon Williams.
The changes will be implemented immediately, starting from the friendly game against historic rivals Leeds United in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 19.
The duo made great strides last term, breaking into the first team after impressing in the academy.
Obi debuted in the away game at Tottenham Hotspur last February, becoming United’s 252nd academy graduate.
The Danish striker scored two goals during the post-season tour, both against the Hong Kong national team.
He followed it up with an impressive performance for Denmark U20s in the Maurice Revello Tournament.
He provided three goal contributions and received a ‘Special Award’ at the end of the youth tournament.
Fredricson made his senior debut in the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford, becoming the club’s 254th academy graduate.
He played both games during the post-season tour, coming on as a substitute against ASEAN All-Stars and starting against the Hong Kong national team.
After breaking into the first team last term, the two youngsters will push to get more minutes next season.
The pre-season games offer them the opportunity to show manager Ruben Amorim that they can be trusted.
Fellow starlets Shea Lacey (61), Bendito Mantato (70) and Reece Munro (65) have also been allocated new squad numbers.
Additionally, full-back Diogo Dalot has now taken the no.2 shirt, taking over from Victor Lindelof, who was released by the club.
