Sport Bild is really doubling down on its Luis Diaz reporting. Do you think Bayern Munich submitted a €53 million bid? That’s what Christian Falk is saying.
However, there are multiple other reports indicating that Liverpool is not even ready to engage with anyone over Diaz. This has made for a confusing situation:
GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Liverpool has not even received any bids yet:
Liverpool have refused to engage with Bayern over Luis Díaz. No formal bid received and zero encouragement from LFC other than outlining their not-for-sale stance. Liverpool have no plans to allow Bayern to present or discuss any bid for Díaz.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano backed up the claims of Jacobs (via @iMiaSanMia)
Liverpool insist that they’re not in active or advanced talks with Bayern for Luis Díaz. Now it’s going to be up to the player to decide what he wants to do and communicate it to Liverpool. Díaz is a top target for Barcelona. For Bayern, who are looking for a winger, he’s a player they like. Next week we’ll probably understand more on this situation.
Clearly, Sport Bild is out on its own with this one...maybe they have a good source...maybe not. Either way, we likely will not find out until next week at the earliest.
