Anthony Elanga has been officially unveiled by new club Newcastle United after making a £55 million move from Nottingham Forest.
Elanga came up through the Manchester United youth academy, graduating to the senior squad in 2020.
However, after only 55 appearances in three years, scoring four goals and grabbing four assists, the Sweden international moved to Nottingham Forest for £15 million.
After an incredible spell with Forest, getting 11 goals and 21 assists in 82 games across two seasons and helping them hold third place in the Premier League for over four months last season, Newcastle have got their man.
Now, Anthony Elanga has spoken out for his first time as a Magpie.

Speaking in a statement on Newcastle United’s official website, Antony Elanga commented: “I’m excited, I’m really happy, but most importantly, I’m ready.
“I’m ready to put on this black and white top to really fight for this team and give everything for the passionate fanbase that lives and breathes football.
“I had an amazing two years at Nottingham Forest, they really helped me to become the player I am today, but I’m really happy to be here now. The club won a trophy last season and are building something unique, something special that I really want to be part of.
“I really want to buy into the culture, into the DNA of this club. I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started.”
Whilst Newcastle are clearly benefiting from bringing in the talented attacker, Manchester United are also set to benefit thanks to their 15% sell-on clause built in when selling the 23-year-old to Nottingham Forest.
As such, The Red Devils are set to receive around £6 million of the profits from his most recent transfer.
