Manchester United are desperate to solve their problem up front ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League, lacking a consistent striker in front of goal.
The Red Devils are desperate to sign a reliable striker to replace Rasmus Hojlund, with the Denmark international looking likely to return to Italy after his failed spell at Old Trafford.
However, United are missing out on their striker targets left, right and centre, with the lure of European football attracting the world’s top talent.
Liam Delap signed to Chelsea as soon as the transfer window opened whilst Viktor Gyokeres is in continued talks with Arsenal, ending hopes for a reunion with Ruben Amorim.

Galatasaray are continuing their attempts to retain Victor Osimhen, making his recent loan move permanent, and Liverpool are front-runners for Hugo Ekitike.
Following United’s inability to sign their initial shortlist for the striker role, a new shortlist was devised, consisting of Dusan Vlahovic, Ollie Watkins and Moise Kean.
Now, The Mirror has reported that United will have to move quickly to grab Moise Kean as his release clause expires on Tuesday 15th July 2025.
The Italy international is also being monitored by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal after failing to sign Osimhen, with his current club, Fiorentina also looking to retain their star striker.

However, Kean has a £45 million release clause which can only be triggered in the next four days.
This presents United with a cheaper option that Watkins’ £60 million valuation from Aston Villa, with Kean also having experience of the Premier League with Everton etween 2019 and 2023, although spent much of this time on loan with PSG and Juventus.
Now, The Red Devils will have to make a decision on if they truly want Kean, with Al-Hilal not afraid to use their money to outbid any other suitor once the release clause is no more.
