Newcastle United and Liverpoolare reportedly showing strong interest in Hugo Ekitiké, who is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. PSG, his former club, could benefit from any deal thanks to a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenbergpreviously noted that Ekitiké ranks high on Liverpool’s list of attacking targets. Still, the 23-year-old French forward understands a move to Anfield would likely hinge on the club first offloading players.
According toGIVEMESPORT, Liverpoolare preparing to open talks over a potential deal for Ekitiké, though any move may depend on Darwin Núñezbeing sold first.
Sources suggest Liverpool have already told Eintracht Frankfurt they’re ready to begin negotiations. That has given the Bundesliga side hopethey could receive their full £86 million valuation.
With several new signings already in place, Liverpool would need to clear space in the squad—likely by moving on from Núñez—before making a serious push for Ekitiké.
