All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup final.

Meanwhile, the work on new signings and outgoings continues as the Blues look to become Premier League title contenders next season. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Adeyemi chase

Chelsea are now said to be weighing up a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi as they look to replace Noni Madueke. The Blues are losing Madueke to a £52million deal, and they now have another whole to fill in their front three.

According to Bild, Chelsea are considering a deal for Dortmund may Adeyemi, who has played across the front three for Dortmund. Newcastle United have also been linked, while there is also talk of interest from Italy. Though, the report adds that the asking price for Adeyemi would be at least £56.2million, and the player is under terms until 2027. That’s a big fee, but Chelsea do know they will need to reinvest the money they are receiving for Madueke if they want to find a player of the same - or indeed better - quality.

Nwaneri a no-go

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Arsenal winger Ethan Nwaneri as they prepare to sell Noni Madueke, but according to Fabrizio Romano, that case is effectively closed as the Gunners look to agree a new deal. He told GiveMeSport: “But sources in the industry suggest the relationship between Arsenal and Chelsea is excellent, and this is why at some point the two clubs also discussed another possibility during Madueke talks.

“The Blues understood around 10 days ago that the agreement for Ethan Nwaneri’s new deal at the Emirates Stadium was not done yet, due to the player’s camp requesting more guarantees over game time, leading to some explanations being wanted by agents and family ahead of summer signings for Arteta. In that moment, sources revealed that Chelsea asked to be informed on Nwaneri's situation and also suggested a potential discussion in a separate story from Madueke. The gap in valuation between the two players was immediately a stumbling block, as Arsenal didn’t want to entertain talks at Chelsea's valuation, but the Blues suggested they were ready to enter club-to-club conversations for Nwaneri at any moment this summer, in case negotiations with Arsenal were going to collapse.

“Sources reveal that Arsenal informed Chelsea, who have been led to the Club World Cup final by head coach Enzo Maresca, right after about their intention not to proceed with any negotiations. Proceeding quickly with Madueke was a separate story and they would not be advancing on numbers and details on a deal for Nwaneri as they absolutely want to get a new contract agreed as soon as possible.”
