Fabrizio Romano insists Arsenal transfer for Gyokeres is on. Despite recent claims from Portugal, the deal is still active and progressing.
Gyokeres Makes His Arsenal Intentions Crystal Clear
Viktor Gyokeres has made it loud and clear that he’s not interested in any club except Arsenal. While reports from Portugal sparked rumours of a failed deal. But, top transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the move is still on.

The Gunners remain locked in talks with Sporting CP for the Swedish striker. Although, there is a minor gap in valuation that’s keeping the deal from crossing the finish line. Still, the PL side aren’t backing out, and neither is the forward. The player has stopped attending training sessions with Sporting. This signals that his chapter with the Portuguese club is over. His focus is fully on joining Mikel Arteta’s project in North London.
The player already has a five-year deal in place until 2030. That shows he wants to work under Mikel Arteta and he believes in the project. Now, it’s just about Sporting and Arsenal finding common ground on the transfer fee to finally get the deal done.
Arteta’s Vision Pulls in Another Star
Mikel Arteta’s growing influence in the transfer market continues to impress. The Spaniard isn’t just building a team, he’s creating a project that top players want to be part of. Gyokeres’ determination to join Arsenal is the latest sign of the pull the manager now has. The 26-year-old forward believes it is the right step for his career. With Gabriel Jesus struggling with injuries and inconsistent form, there’s space for a new main man up front.
The Gunners are carefully negotiating the final details with Sporting. But, once terms are agreed, Gyokeres looks all set to wear the Arsenal shirt. The summer window may still be open, but it’s already heating up in North London.
