All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they continue to work quickly on new signings.

Arsenal are now ramping up their summer transfer business, and in a big way. The Gunners were a little slow out of the blocks, but they are not getting business done and quickly, with Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard all snapped up at this stage.

Gyokeres update

Arsenal are said to have met and surpassed Sporting CP’s initial asking price for Viktor Gyokeres, but the Portuguese club have raised their demands. That’s according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, who says the striker has been left furious with his current club.

Gyokeres is said to have had an agreement with Sporting that he could leave for £51.9million plus add-ons, but Sporting are now holding out for a bigger fee. Gyokeres is not refusing to turn up for pre-season training as Arsenal continue to work on a deal.

Trossard to be axed

Arsenal are now said to be ready to sell one of their attack-minded players after agreeing a deal to sign Madueke. According to The Times, the Gunners are now open to offloading Leandro Trossard, who is likely to struggle for game time after Arsenal’s recent transfer business.

The report claims that the Belgian has already agreed terms with Turkish club Fenerbahce, and the club are now working to agree a deal with Arsenal. Trossard only has one year remaining on his contract, and the Gunners are likely cash in if they can agree sensible terms.

Nwaneri decision

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal are not entertaining the idea of allowing Ethan Nwaneri to leave this summer after an enquiry from Chelsea as part of the Madueke deal. He wrote on GiveMeSport: “The Blues understood around 10 days ago that the agreement for Ethan Nwaneri’s new deal at the Emirates Stadium was not done yet, due to the player’s camp requesting more guarantees over game time, leading to some explanations being wanted by agents and family ahead of summer signings for Arteta.

“In that moment, sources revealed that Chelsea asked to be informed on Nwaneri's situation and also suggested a potential discussion in a separate story from Madueke. The gap in valuation between the two players was immediately a stumbling block, as Arsenal didn’t want to entertain talks at Chelsea's valuation, but the Blues suggested they were ready to enter club-to-club conversations for Nwaneri at any moment this summer, in case negotiations with Arsenal were going to collapse.

“Sources reveal that Arsenal informed Chelsea, who have been led to the Club World Cup final by head coach Enzo Maresca, right after about their intention not to proceed with any negotiations. Proceeding quickly with Madueke was a separate story and they would not be advancing on numbers and details on a deal for Nwaneri as they absolutely want to get a new contract agreed as soon as possible.”
