Luis Diaz gives unconvincing update on Liverpool future amid Bayern Munich rumors

Luis Diaz has confessed uncertainty over his future amid persistent rumors of a departure from Liverpool.

Despite the Reds turning down offers from Barcelona and Bayern Munich this summer, speculation about the 28-year-old's Anfield exit continues. The Colombian forward, who netted 17 times for the Premier League champions last season, is reportedly eyeing a move to Bayern, with claims from Germany suggesting an official bid has been placed by the club.

Diaz's fondness for Barcelona is also no secret. Yet, Liverpool are firm in their stance that Diaz is not on the market. With two years remaining on his contract, the club remains calm about his situation, though the player himself is eager to negotiate better terms.

Diaz has repeatedly addressed his future in recent weeks. He has acknowledged that discussions with the club's hierarchy are ongoing and his future is still up in the air.

"We don't know yet," he said to Win Sports regarding his future prospects. "Nothing, nothing (to say). We're there talking with the management, we're calm where I am. So nothing (to say), we're talking about matters."

Diaz had earlier expressed contentment with his situation at Liverpool amid the swirling rumours, though he refrained from making any definitive statements about his long-term intentions with the club.

Speaking to Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez, he remarked: "We're there, negotiating. We'll see what can be achieved, for us and for the club. We'll try to do our best and make the best decision."

When questioned about the interest from Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr, he elaborated: "We're in the process of negotiations, talking with the club, with Liverpool, with everyone who's approaching us. But I'm very calm where I am, you know, very happy. Trying to make the best decision now."

Additionally, Diaz acknowledged during international duty last month that he was engaged in discussions with other clubs and that his future was contingent on Liverpool's decisions.

He stated: "We are currently in contact with Liverpool, because we are talking to clubs, and that's normal given the transfer market that's opening. We're trying to arrange what's best for us.

"We're talking to clubs, it's normal in the market and we're looking at what's best for us. I'm waiting to see what happens.

"I'm very happy at Liverpool, I've always said so. They've welcomed me very well from day one. If they give us a good renewal or I stay there for two years, I'll be happy. Now it's up to them."
